Stephen D. Barker, DDS

Stephen D. Barker, DDS“Patients sometimes ask me why I became a dentist. Well, as a child I always enjoyed going to the dentist because of the way my dentist treated me. I never developed dental anxiety like a lot of kids did. As I got closer to choosing a profession, I spent some time with my dentist and observed his balance of artistic expression and interpersonal communication.

“I watched how he helped people overcome their fear and apprehension of dentistry as he enhanced their smiles. People who used to hide their smiles now smiled with confidence. I came to the conclusion that a career in dentistry would be a rewarding one as I would spend my days helping people to improve their self-esteem.

“Now 25 years later, after transforming the smiles of thousands of patients, I look back at my decision to become a dentist with absolutely no regrets. I love what I do for a living. I love enhancing smiles, enhancing lives.”

Laura J. Murcko, DMD

Laura J. Murcko, DMD“I went into dentistry because I was inspired by the most remarkable dentist I’ve known, my dad. My summer job from age 10 until graduation from dental school was working in my father’s office. I knew dentistry was to be my future profession due to the sheer enjoyment I received from interacting with my father’s patients. I saw how happy and fulfilled my father was and what a difference he made in his patients’ lives. I decided that I also wanted a career enhancing people’s health, appearance and self-esteem by changing their smiles. I work hard to follow in my father’s footsteps and provide the finest and most compassionate service to my patients.

“Continual learning and improvement enable the finest treatment. My commitment to continual learning and training with the most prominent educators in dentistry leads me to being so involved in various professional dental organizations. I am a former President of the Colorado Academy of General Dentistry and President-Elect of the American Association of Women Dentists. My involvement in these types of organizations has afforded me a way of ensuring that I can provide the most advanced care available in dentistry today. My commitment is to you, my patients, and I am here to provide you with the best possible care customized for you with a gentle touch.”

Scott A. Kissinger, DDS “I became a dentist in the first place to help people. By educating my patients on long-term dental health, I am helping them keep their teeth for a lifetime. What’s more, through the advances in modern cosmetic and implant dentistry, I am also helping them transform their smile, which augments their confidence and self-esteem.

“A healthy, attractive smile uplifts and encourages those around you. It reveals your sense of humor, shows affection and brightens your entire face. As your dentist, I value these things as much as you do. It’s one reason why I always take the time to listen to your concerns and focus in on your individual needs. And if you suffer from dental anxiety, I promise that you’ll receive extra-pampering care.
